already called the lumberyard near me. :)

19.99 (.5) 4x8 AC
27.49 (.75)	4x8 AC
25.99 (.5)	4x9 AC PT (pressure treated)
32.99 (.75)	4x8 AC PT
3.99 2x4 PT
1.89 2x4 economy grade
3.38 2x4 premium grade

if we go with 2x2 sections, we could probably get away with .5

(lighter/less expensive overall)

I'd recommend we go with pressure treated, although the prototype
doesn't have to be.

so it's either:
	$25.99 + 4($3.99) = 41.95 + tax
or
	$19.99 + 4($3.38) = 33.51 + tax

then if that doesn't seem to take my stress test (which will probably
involve me jumping on it violently and from various heights)
i'm *certainly* not a lightweight... :)

we'll go to .75 with 2x4 sections, then .75 with 2x2 sections if
that doesn't seem safe.

Question: Should we go with 4x4 sections?
    *  It'd be more seams(bad),
    * it would allow for more flexibility in layout (good)
    * it would increase storage/handling ease a bunch. (good)

Probably we should have several 4x4 sections anyway even if the
majority are 4x8. (we'd need them to "stagger" the seams if we think
that's be a good idea. (which i do)) (this does necessitate drilling
more holes than i originally mentioned))

any recommendations for the finish?
a finish would reduce the likelyhood of splinters.
i think i have some polyureathane i could try... i just hope it's not
too slippery (when wet)

if this works out, i'd *love* to try and get it to look "inlay" by
using differnt stains and masking tape. but that's far enough in the
future to not worry too much about it now.
another option would be to get someone artistic to mural it first week
as we set it up... ;)

just for think ahead info:
we would need 4x8 floor space 20 feet high (aproximatly) to store
this. I imagine 12x8x6 is more likely. (i know *i* don't want to get
the one off the top of a 20 foot stack... ;)

Band shell:
anyone have some ideas for this? I'm thinking a geodesic
quarter sphere at one end of the tent. 1/8 - 1/4 plywood

Band platform:
We should be able to raise any number of the platforms for
	band use.
