I think it was .5" plywood .
I think the stage was braced in 2'x4' sections (i.e. 4 to a piece of plywood).
I would suspect 2'x2' sections, or .75" plywood would be sufficient, and both
would be great (or overkill, depending on your perspective).
However, a simple sanity test of this before we make such a thing would be much
cheaper than getting it wrong.
