Actually, the rules of social dance do say that all experienced
dancers should make a point of sometimes dancing with new folks.
That's how many folk dance groups in the US work. It's the only way
you can make sure your dance group won't die out, plus you get to talk
to all sorts of interesting people.

I'll be encouraging the nightly dancemasters to encourage the dancers
to "dance with someone new", "dance with someone you've never danced
with before", etc.
