While we'll never get 100% correlation between class sets and ball
sets (due to last-minute changes, instructor limitations, or whatever),
I wonder if we need to make sure there are a few "basic dance" classes --
as opposed to "basic bransles" or "basic ECD" or "basic balli" or
whatever. This would increase the odds of someone being able to do most
dances in a set, assuming sets are varied by style. If someone's only
willing to show up to one class (your basic very-low-level commitment),
will he come away with enough clues to do dances in more than one style at
the ball? I don't mean Hyde Park and Mercantia and Il Canario, but
Rufty Tufty and Petit Vriens and Charlotte. Is this worth doing?

I wonder if we need "dance 101" on the day of the ball, with the goal
being to teach steps/vocabulary and the common figures.
