I agree that there are many issues to be discussed; however, the
previous pattern from messages on SCA-Dance and past years discussion
is that the community never reaches a consensus. This is fine; I
don't expect everyone to agree on everything. But at some point, some
policy decisions need to be made. And while many of these decisions
don't need to be made for a while, there are already some things for a
dance coordinator to do.

Several people have already volunteered to do various things; without
someone to start making a schedule, etc., these volunteers may be
forgotten or whatnot. I don't believe that once we have a dance
coordinator s/he will immediately lay down policy, but I do think s/he
can initiate discussion, see what predominant viewpoints are, and
*then* lay down a policy, with possibly some fine tuning.

The discussions here (or rather SCA-Dance, since not much has come by
pennsicdance yet) tend to not get to a conclusion. And that's why I
think we need a dance coordinator sooner rather than later, to make a
conclusion from the discussions.

Cheers,
Matt
