But what's going on when most people bring up the "creativity thing" is that they've created something which has features which are clearly not from the middle ages, but what to justify doing it in an SCA context. So they say, "But we're the society for CREATIVE anachronism!" You're right, you can ape a dead tradition in a very dynamic, original, creative way.
