When people post off-topic material to this list, they generally begin
with "I know this is off topic, but..." If you write that, do everyone
a favor and don't send the message.  I have asked repeatedly that you
not send such postings to the list; when everyone signed up from the
list, they received a little mail message which mentions this. Email
viruses, FCC modem taxes, and appeals for postcards for dying children
have nothing to do with the performance arts in the Society for
Creative Anachronism, and they're hoaxes anyway.
