i have finally started fixing up a baroque cittern i got many yeaers ago.the experts date ti about 1750. how cool is that!!
we got the thing apart, fixed the cracks and warps and it went back together like a dream. luckily the peg box is almost flawless so that will make it easier to string. it has mean tempered intonation rather than even tempered, so it willonly sound good in one or twokeys. its french, a cistre, or guitare allenange with ten strings in six courses with two overwound basses and four iron or brass wire strings. i love these wierd old instruments
