Good guess, Geoffrey, but no cigar. Actually, Bardic Madness South is
called "South" because it is the second such event, the first being Bardic
Madness in the Principality (soon to be Kingdom) of Northshield. Most of
the Middle Kingdom which is NOT in Northshield is geographically south of
Northshield. Hence, a Bardic Madness event which circulates in the
non-Northshield parts of the Middle Kingdom will usually be south of the
original Bardic Madness.
Not always, though. Bardic Madness this past year
(http://www.minstrel.com/ncb/bmxiii.htm ) was in the Barony of Jararvellir
(near Madison, WI) and was actually south of where Bardic Madness South
will be held!
We'll be back to geography-as-usual next year, however, when Bardic Madness
XIV will be held in the Barony of Castel Rouge (Winnipeg, MB). I challenge
anyone to find a spot in the non-Northshield Midrealm that is north of
Winnipeg, and capable of hosting an event. ;)
We always love visitors from afar at both Bardic Madnesses. When your
circumstances allow, plan to join us!
