minstrel: Looking for a tune

Greetings, all!

Could I prevail upon the list to help me find a tune to go with some lyrics? 
  I realize I'm going about it backwards but I wrote the poem before I'd 
heard anything that would suit them.

Briefly:  I am looking for a ballad that scans to septameter, and if 
possible I need it to work wtih three septameter couplets in the verses, 
then two septameter couplets in the choruses.  Any thoughts?
