minstrel: Pakistani horn?

All this talk of brass instruments and fanfare has
made me think I'd like to make a stab at playing some!
 So I did a few searches for instruments and came up
with some very lovely but expensive reproductions and,
well, this:

Arg, the site is apparently frames-based... well, if
you click on the picture of a long horn on the
middle-right, you'll get there.

The seller lives in India.  That and the low price put
me in mind of the Infamous Pakistani Harp-like
Decorator Objects.

The low price makes me think it would make a fun toy
to play around with, but I don't want to toss away
money on junk.  I know that sounds contradictory -
let's just say my standards for this are low but not
nonexistent. :-)  Can anyone offer some insight or
advice?
