Have a look at

which does lute tablature.  Oddly enough I don't know anything about
guitar tablature, but if you capo your guitar at the third fret, and tune
the G down a half step, it does a first order imitation of a six course
lute.  You'll often feel cramped in Dowland, since he expects seven or
eight, but you can certainly get by.
