galacian bagpipes are fablous, but as suggested don't
buy lark in the morning ones untill you get a real
player to try them.
lark does ocassionally have good stuff. they had some
fablous sounding wooden fluts a few years ago, and a
few mexican folk citterns that would be a gret starter
instrument, but i have tried bagpipes--i'm no goos but
i can play a bellows pipe a bit, that i couldn't get a
note out of--completely hopeless.
i have a set of scottish lowland pipes i've decieded
to sell by the way. they are questionable
period--right on the edge, but they are a high end
set. the chanter reed is old and starting to squak in
moist weather, but otherwish in good condition. i've
decided that i'm a terrible piper ans i'd rather work
on strings that i have much more experience with.
i recently picked up a medieval rebec--i still have to
get the bow--a complicated trade with a luthier and
he's got to make me a bow==i can't wait.
