Several years ago, I got the chance to hear the Galician pipes in a concert.
I don't remember the artist's name off the top of my head, but believe me,
it's the only time I've heard anyone jam on bagpipes (Scots or Uillean). I
remember it had a sound somewhere in the middle between Scots and Irish
Pipes, and didn't need a microphone in the 800-seat lecture hall at the
University of California Santa Barbara.
My two cents,
Aibhilin inghean ui Mhanachain
aka Alison O'Mhanachain
