Thank you for all of the responses on this subject. For simplicity I
sometimes group medieval & rennaissance into the title of Early music (just
like the term Celtic music is now used to discribe traditional music of
Ireland, British Isles, ect.). My music teachers always pointed out that the
baroque period ended with the death of Bach, but they never really make it
clear when it officially started.
Thanks again and if anyone still has anything to add to this please do. I
love talking about music and music history...even if it is after the 16 c.
