Hi,
It's been really quiet on this list, so I thought I'd forward this posting.

Subject: [Northshield]: Bardic Madness Lucky Number XIII
Unto all Bards, Troubadors, Trouveres, Minstrels, Minnesingers, Jongleurs,
Singers, Storytellers, Poets, Scops, Skalds, Fillidhs, Olaves, Griots,
Wordsmiths, and friends of the arts Bardic, doth Eliane Halevy, Bardic
Madness Provost, send greetings!
Bardic Madness XIII is scheduled for February 22, 2003, at Folklore Village
Farm in Dodgeville, WI (Barony of Jararvellir). All are welcome at this
annual Northshield bardic festival, at which attendees rise to a number of
crafty, sentimental, scholarly, wacky, lyrical, puzzling, and just plain
fun challenges, and help provide an audience for others. Classes, a
delicious feast, Court at Their Highness' pleasure, and a meeting of the
Northshield Bardic College are also planned.
We now have a fully-functional website for Bardic Madness XIII, complete
with information on the day's bardic challenges/their patrons, lunch and
feast information, some of the lodging information (Madison motel list
still pending), post-revel info, and contact information for event staff
(including a recently added Royalty Liaison).
Visit that website at: http://www.minstrel.com/ncb/bmxiii.htm
Dodgeville is about 35 minutes west of Madison. The post-revel will be in
Madison, so travellers may wish to make lodging plans in Madison proper.
Watch for event flyers at Nordskogen 12th Night and other early 2003 events
in the Northshield, and for event information in the February Northwatch,
Pale, and (we're working on it) Mews.
Please feel free to forward this message to any groups or individuals who
might be interested. We would be excited to welcome friends from far and
near. You don't have to be a bard to have a great time at Bardic
Madness--but it helps to be a little crazy!
