So, to bring this a bit more on topic,

For a while, one of Lark in the Morning's company musicians was harper Laurie
Riley, who very early in her career went by (I believe) Brenna the Harper in
the SCA. Laurie has had a successful career, including publishing several
books, issuing multiple recordings, and founding a school for aspiring musical
practitioners (a branch of musical therapy dealing with playing music at
bedside for the critically injured).

Can anyone think of other SCA musicians who have "gone pro"? If so, what sort
of music are they recording and performing? How many have remained in the
Society? Does the Society nurture aspiring professionals? Do professional
musicians "outgrow" the SCA?

Vivien
