At his specific request, I here offer a public apology to Greg Lindahl /
Gregory Blount, the owner and moderator of minstrel at pbm.com, for (in his
words) "flaming me across a bunch of mailing lists."

I had questioned his reasons for rejecting as "unwelcome" on his list a
message I had forwarded to minstrel at pbm.com, ncb at minstrel.com, and
northshield.com - an email from Lark in the Morning, detailing a clearance
sale on traditional music. The list contained recordings by Stan Rogers and
several other Out-Of-Period artists, was lengthy (listing individual titles
available from many different countries and cultures) and originated at Lark
in the Morning. According to Mr. Lindahl, these three factors made it
unsuitable for his mailing list. I should have known better.

I had forgotten that minstrel at pbm.com is a private list owned and operated
by Mr. Lindahl, and he makes the rules. I have no right to question his
decisions as to what material is "welcome". Making matters worse, I
apparently sent my question ("what's the doggone problem?") not only to Mr.
Lindahl, but also to the lists to which I originally sent the Lark in the
Morning listing. According to Mr. Lindahl, this constitutes "flaming."

As a netizen of long standing and an SCA member since 1980, I know that
flaming is a Bad Thing. Therefore I do most humbly publicly abase myself
and apologize.
