He was a professor at the University of Virginia at that time. He's
retired and apparently fairly close to passing away; he's selling his
library, for example. It's a great thing that he published some things
so late in life.

I tried to interest the University of Virginia Press in publishing an
electronic edition of that 1982 book; I had no luck, even though they
have no plans of reprinting it.
