Dear culture enthusiast!

We are happy to announce the new CD recording of the LIVONIA ensemble!

"LAULAN MERE MAAKSI" - approximately translating to "sea turns into land" - is the first CD of Svea Juckum-Bentz.  As a specialist for medieval music she is also a virtuoso on the fiddle.  Mrs. Juckum-Bentz has played with internationally known Estonian ensembles such as "Linnamuusikud" or "Rondellus".

This CD recording was made using medieval music instruments.  However, the pieces themselves are based on Estonian runo-songs.  They are a combination of folk-, ethnic- and medieval music and draw 18 pictures of the miserly nordic landscape of Estonia.
