  I have just purchased a replica of a 6-7th century lyre. 

  Sounds pretty good too, however, I'm kind of lyre-playing challenged (or any 
  stringed instrument)  anybody know of any good (simple) hints or guides...or 
  of anyone with experience with such an instrument?
