for those interested in welsh music there is also the
french cousin music from armorica--brittany.

the books are in french but the music is in music. the
main one--with a lot of period stuff,much more than in
wales or the gaeldom, is "musique folklorique de basse
bretaigne" or a very similar title but i've seen it in
many libraries. it's an underused resource in the sca,
probably as it's in french, but the music is clearly
of a celtic type and there are often french lyrics as
well as armorican ones. french is a lot easier than
any celtic language--particularily to sing.
