The Musicians of the Knowne World are hereby invited to participate in the
Pennsic Performing Arts Festival Instrumental Day on Thursday, August
17th! Starting at noon, all fortunate gentles who gather in the Performing
Arts Pavilion will be treated to a series of mini-concerts by
instrumentalists, solo or in groups, celebrating the diversity and beauty
of music that the Current Middle Ages has to offer. All are welcome, for a
few minutes, an hour, or the full afternoon!
Any interested performer or group may pre-register by responding to this
email with your name, instrument(s) played, and a proposed program, if you
have one. Players of all instruments are welcome; vocal singing with
instrumental accompaniment is also welcome, though the emphasis should be
on the instruments. Each performer or group may take up to 1/2 an hour to
hold a mini-concert. Please state any special needs or desired times. All
pre-registrant's mini-concerts can be advertised by name & specific time to
increase the audience draw.
Any questions or concerns may be addressed to the Instrumental Day
Coordinator, Lady Linette de Gallardon, via email at <linette at epix.net>
until Pennsic and at the merchanting booth of Silvershell Musical
Instruments during the War.
Please forward this announcement to any pertinent Kingdom, Regional, and
performing arts lists that have not seen it, and spread the word! Thank you!
