But note that the Maltese Bransle that most people know and play isn't
from Arbeau. The steps are written by a SCAdian, and the music is from
Mainerio. And it isn't 14th century. If you actually want 14th century
dance music, you need to buy Timothy McGee's book "Medieval
Instrumental Dances".

Your advice about Yamaha recorders is quite sound -- and at $10, you
can't beat the price!
