Peace be with you.

Thank you, m'lord, but I get mightly seasick.
>Here's one submittal, but I will need a little help: You mentioned the
"ember" tree as the root (no pun intended) for the name Brasilia. A little
taxonomic jump would get us to "light" (glowing ember) So we could have:
"Lux de Sur" Light of the South (someone please fix my latin).
"Amazonia"
"Kingdom of the South", "Southrealm", or "FarSouthPark"
Another piece of Brazilian trivia: Brazil's first name in 1500 was Ilha de Santa Cruz (Island of the Holy Cross, for they thought it was an island). Then, some years later, it was changed by the Portuguese crown to Terra de Vera Cruz (Land of the True Cross, after they found out it was no island, but a whole continent). Later still, it became Brazil. Now, in the Brazilian flag, the Southern Cross burns bright as our symbol. Just so that you know...
Keep the suggestions coming! Keep them coming! I'll keep a list and, then, I'll submit it to election.
In friendship,
Glaura Branca Pereyra de Santa Maria
The honor is to serve.
