minstrel: Hello Warriors

In truth, it was a most enjoyable war, but for the weather and many events
being cancelled.  I personally appreciate a little challenge to modern life
and all its accoutrement and am a firm believer that misery is optional.
Could have done without the overturned HCL cart on The King's Highway 10
heading back to Ansteorra.  There will undoubtedly be plenty of  filk to
celebrate GW VIII.  I'll share my own when finished.

Well, I had hoped to go too, but I am currently glad I didn't.  I have heard
that War was cancelled on Fri because of the horrible storm front that swept
through Ansteorra and continued on to the East.  The winds were simply
phenomenal.  I hope all made it home safely.
