I applaud your desire to add harp to your repertoire.  I see that Mst. V 
has already beaten me to the question of harpmakers, but I too would like 
to endorse the Lewandowski harps. (I'm one of those folk she mentions as 
playing them.)

I wonder if you may find that it will be easier to recite & harp 
alternately, rather than together.  I do storytelling alternating with 
harping;  I can sing at the same time as I play, but not speak.  Perhaps 
it's a left-brain / right-brain thing?  Poetic recitation is a different 
than ordinary speech, however, so perhaps you will have no trouble at all - 
I hope this is so.  :-)
