Hmmm. Explain to me the distinction you make between "reading" and
"reciting" a poem, and I'll tell you how I feel about it.
I don't _think_ I'm being deliberately dense here. (I assume we're not
talking about the sort of off-putting "I am going to read my poem in as
flat and uninteresting a voice as possible but you will appreciate it
because I am a great poet" thing you run into at mundane poetry-readings.
There are times I wish modern poets would revive the grand old medieval
tradition of bards having professional reciters as part of their retinue.
Heck, prose-authors too.)
Urk. Well, depending on what you _did_ mean, maybe I _have_ told you how I
feel about it. Ah well.
