My lord Godric,

I don't know the first two, but the Gage of War was written by Master
Baldwin of Erebor, and should be noted as copyright Derek G. Foster, 1979;
the tune is original to the piece. It MAY be included in Baldwin's
songbook "Broadside of a Bard", but it is definitely included in the OLD
OLD An Tir songbook which was printed by the Elf Hill Times in 1981. Since
you are in Oertha, you can probably rattle the bones in the closet and come
up with a copy, but I will be happy to mail you the page in question if you
would like (it does include musical notation of the melody and chords). It
was written to commemorate an actual event; you may or may not be
interested in the story as it is very old ("...and besides, the bitch is
dead..."), but I have copied Baldwin on this message so if he has a chance
perhaps he'll share it with you.

							Cheers!
									Adelaide

Does anyone know where the following songs originated and what their
copyright status is:

March of Cambreath

Arafel's Lament (And how is it related to C.J. Cherryh's book, "Tree of
Jewels and Swords)

also, does can someone tell me what the tune is (if any) to the Gage of
War (There once was a Herald of Scottish disguise...) and who wrote it,
copyrights, etc.

Thank you,

Valete!

Godric Logan of Winter's Gate
