This doesn't seem period (I had "Rambling Rover" going through my head at
the time) but I would ask for any comments, please, especially as I have
never tried to write something that could possibly be singable. Any
suggestions for how to go aobut doing so other than just a brute force
method (Next line sounds like....) would be greatly appreciated.
Sieze the Day
There's a man, lives down upon the lee
Who sits and looks out oe'r the sea.
Waiting for the other side,
To come to him on the next tide.
(But)
Chorus:
Ya can't wait for lead to become gold
Or waste your time just growing old
There's plenty of time to rest in bed
When you finally turn up dead!
Some sit in drink in the public hall
Others laze about upon the mall
They cry and moan about their fate
But don't do nothing til its too late
CHORUS:
So heed the call and sieze the day
Tomorrow may be another day,
But if you spend it here, just wastin' away
It might as well have been yesterday
CHORUS:
Si valetis, valeo
