minstrel: Oakland/San Francisco-area minstrels?

Greetings, m'lords and ladies.

I am *considering* a move to the Oakland area at some future time (my lord 
lives there), and I would VERY MUCH appreciate the opportunity to 
correspond with other bards/minstrels/general fun types in the vicinity. Is 
anyone out there willing to be my 'pen pal'? :-)

I currently live in the Seattle, Washington area, and have lived as far 
south as Fortuna, California. This potential move would represent quite a 
change, and I'd like to get some inside information. I'm particularly 
interested in Celtic music (as far as what I listen to), and in Child-style 
ballads (as far as what I play).
