     Good people all:
     
     I'm a gen-yoo-wine "lurker" on this list, being an early-music type, 
     but not SCA.  Nonetheless, I recently found a website that has a 
     decent and concise (and very non-academic, thank Cernunnos!) 
     description of modes.  Here's the URL:

     There are links on this site that I didn't follow for lack of time.  
     But it's still active as of 4/14/98.
