Okay. Never let the Fat Old Norseman Email and drink Guiness at
the same time.
Since there has been such a wide response to the event, I need to
correct one minor flaw in the info and update everyone with a list of
instructors, classes and such as we have them now;
First, I was really off the map here folks! (Being a Norseman, I
don't pay attention to minor details not on a coastline, it seems.)
The event is in Lawrence Kansas, Not Columbia Missouri, as I
formerly sent. This I can only admit is my own ignorance. I have a
wonderful College of Bards here, and they are working very hard to get the
work done. Me, I am soooooo far behind, I am out of touch!!!!
Mea Culpa!
Second:
Morgan Ceily Cain (sp) Has volunteered to teach both Copyright
Law, (Something we all need to know), and Anglo-Saxon (or Norman) Law for
those of you who want it. She is a Lawyer by trade, so this will be good!
Cormac Mac Cumail has offered the couse Norse Law, (and may have
someone who knows Scots Law as well to co-teach), and Building a Bardic
Group. Cormac is a Lawyer by trade as well, and has successfully run the
longest running circle in our area.
Luciana deRidofi has volunteered to teach Bardic Costume, (if I
will co-teach for the nonce,) and possibly Beginning Harp, (but she wants
to turn it over to a better teacher, if possible.)
Luigsech, Our Rush bigwig is offering to teach, if he can find his
notes, or a fun concept....(I am so confused!)
Fiona, the Mentmus of my household volunteered to teach Celtic
Mythology. She had better remember this!
And then there is me. I will volunteer to teach Norse Poetics in
English, or "how to fake Norse Poetry and win Friends and Influence
People." As well as co-teach with Luci in Bardic Costume.
Also, any and all of us I can muster will be in the one-on-one
Workshop, where a bard can try out someting for an audience of one or two
and get constructive critique.
Thirdly: The event may well be FREE! The Possible site fee is
being looked at and may be waived by the University!!!!!!!
I will try to keep all the persons interested informed.
Thank you for your patience.
Mikal
(Oh, I almost forgot. One of my pet projects is to get bardic
compositions to the bards. At all times you may trade, exchange, or
(sell) Bardic materials that you have the rights to during this event.
Bring you books, make copies! Let's get this material out for the world!)
