minstrel: RE: Wanderlust/AB(CC)B

I've already responded off-list to Briana/Kat concerning some comments that 
she made on my poetic offering "Wanderer".  There was one question she 
brought up that I realize now I did not address, and that might be of 
definite wider interest:

>  is it a song?  feels like one.

The vast majority of the poetry I create will at one time or another be set 
to music, or at least performed as a "song".  This is my personal approach, 
and does not necessarily imply that I will use the same or even a consistent 
tune in each performance of a given work.

For me, poetry is *meant* to be spoken if not chanted, chanted if not sung. 
 As much as the interplay of words on the paper or screen may move someone, 
poems delivered verbally gain extra layers of emotion, texture, and meaning. 
 Poems that become songs qualify even moreso, gaining the beauty of music in 
addition to their own inner strength.

The first major revision of "Wanderer" should find its way to the maillist 
this afternoon.
