[Various castigations for someone who rebuked Pendar deleted]

O.K., so how do you tell someone who believes they are universally loved
that this isn't the case?

I favor more period performance over non-period style. If I'm in a circle
where folks are doing Steeleye Span or Stan Rogers, fine- I can live with
it. But how do you suggest I tell the person who has gotten applause for
the performance that I prefer more period style entertainments?

Go off and form a new circle? What happens as more and more folk wander
over and start doing the SCA-acceptable non-period stuff. after all, we
wouldn't to be *rude* and tell them that this is a period-style circle.

The only one I've ever seen get away with it is Cariodoc, as part of the
whole Enchanted Ground thing.

I've seen it happen at every SCA event and even on the Rialto, where the
hell in the SCA can people who want to do period go to have a good time?
