Caid's Books and Tapes

I do a fair amount of administrative work for the Circle of
Bards. We recently reorganized and I thought I posted this info here..???
But anyway... We have a publications division now (basically so the work
is more spread out). The gentle in charge of that, Lord Grim Finch, has in
his possession all the masters for the tapes and what remains of the 5 books
and tapes (which is precious little - trust me). These were created about
nine years ago. Much of the music is not period, but rather what individuals
had written and what felt to many re-created what they felt was period. Does
this make sense??? The books and tapes are wonderful however and there are
some wonderful wonderful pieces on them, lots of SCA lore. Also everything that
was published was done with the correct copyright permissions.

We are just getting our finances reorganized so remaking the set
has not yet occurred nor has it been put into the works as it were. But
it will as will a 2nd set of books and tapes... I will keep the folks
updated on the list as to its status periodically.

They have never been available by mail and of late there is very little of anything
left. We are completely out of tapes 1-3 (and tape 1 is owed to a number of people).
I will have to check on the stock and find out if mail order is something Lord Grim
is up for. But I will get back to you. He >just< got married so I won't call him
until next week.

That would be me.

The books and tapes were the result of MANY people, large amounts of time,
and extreme dedication. It is not as easy as `getting on the stick'. We have
been discussing and working on getting this off the ground for a solid
two years. We do quite a lot bardically in this kingdom including two bardic
newsletters, one bardic collegium per year, a kingdom instrumental ensemble,
numerous singing/instrumental groups, monthly bardic circles and what not.
We are busy, trust me.

Anyone who wants more info may email me privately for my phone (which I don't
post to the net - although if you get the Crown Prints I am listed under
Circle of Bards)(Every Kingdom Chroniclor and Principal Herald gets comp copies).
