Anyone know the proper attribution for this [scurrilous]
piece...Gra/inne, who likes the pipes, as long as they are not TOO up
close...

A bit of...poetry?...for _you_.
'Twas in a crowded hospital
In the western USA,
Where a Caledonian, far from home,
Lonely and dying lay.
"Doc," he said, "Could I hear but once
The dear auld pipes again
I'd shut my e'en and die in peace
In spite o' all my pain."
So the kindly doctor searched the town
Until a Border Scot was found.
And now within the hospital,
The glorious pipes resound!
Along the great white corridors,
The bagpipe echoed clear
And every one of those ailing souls
The wondrous sound could hear.
And lo, by that glorious music,
The weary Scot revived.
Regained his health and left his bed
...But the other patients died.
-courtesy of my grandfather, source unknown. (In other
words, don't blame me.) It's classtime now....oof. My brain is still in
1st gear.
