I'm looking for a list of nicknames for specific playing cards.
Does anyone know a source listing such nicknames?
For example: the 9 of diamonds is the "Curse of Scotland" (The best
explanation I've read for this is because it resembles the 9 lozenges
in the Dalrymple family coat of arms. It was John Dalrymple who
engineered the infamous Glencoe Massacre of 1692.)
