hist-games: Mumbly Peg

The only evidence I know of of the game in the MA (ie. pre-1500) is a
reference to 'halfpenny prick' in 1311--presumably the same as
penny-prick, as described by Willughby in the 1660s as a game involving
throwing of a knife at a peg surmounted by a penny. JLS
