Any guidance would be greatly > appreciated. There's a reason for that -- the number of sources is small and they are vague. You get the same effect in music; there's gobs of information about ballads form the middle of the 17th century through the modern era, but little before 1600, very little before 1550, etc. I don't think anyone's written a modern book that has extensive coverage of earlier stuff. I'd suggest that you start by going through the bibliography on the webpage and seeing what looks good. -- greg ------------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send email to majordomo@pbm.com containing the words "unsubscribe hist-brewing" (or unsubscribe hist-brewing-digest, if you get the digest.)
