hist-brewing: priming

 Usually, I recommend using the Standard Papazian Primer (3/4 cup of corn sugar - or honey or maple syrup - per 5 gallons), with very good results. So for 5.5 gallons of maple wine, you'd need 3/4 cup plus a teaspoon of maple syrup. However, you finished it all off with Eau de Vie, so it may not work - the alcohol level may be too high for the residual yeast to do their thing.
