Hello all --
In some circles the word "hydromel" has come to mean a weak
and watered mead. The word itself is Greek and was in use in
the Classical word to mean simply mead. It's still used in the
French language today with that meaning.
Does anyone one know the origins of this particular meaning of
"hydromel"? Digby uses it, but not in the sense of a weak mead.
