The Presque Isle Wine Catalog lists 11 colors of sealing wax for bottles in
1/4 pound blocks. They say the traditional method for dressing up bottles
is to dip them into molten wax. One pound of wax will do 50 to 65 bottles.

Sealing wax doesn't seem to be the thing to use, either, being too hard.
Does anyone know what wax is traditional for sealing fortified wines? >>
