Wit is a Belgian wheat beer, related to Weizen. The difference is that Wit
is very light-bodied and clear. It is also prone to be spiced fairly
heavily. I have no idea regarding the historical pedigree of Belgian
beers, though.
My own Wit is around 70% wheat in the grain bill.
