Greetings all!

First off, for those who haven't been following along... a reminder that THIS
SATURDAY, Isenfir will be hosting a day-long event entitled Lezione al Palazzo
(Lesson at the Palace) dedicated to learning and improving your skill in 16th C.
Italian dance (Caroso-style :). Susan de Guardiola will be coming down from
Connecticut to run a 10a - 6p workshop, and we'll be having a relaxed dance
party in the evening. For all the juicy details, go see
http://isenfir.org/lezione

Turnout looks to be good. Slightly higher than I'd anticipated, but not so much
so as to be overwhelming. Not too hot, not too cold... just right. :) All in
all, I think we're all set for a fun day and evening.

Now the couple of things...

1) As I've said a couple of times :) Susan is traveling a very long way to come
and instruct for us. To help her out, I'm going to be soliciting donations to
cover her travel expenses. She's driving a very long way and back for no money
to do a very nice thing for us; the least we could do is take up a collection so
that it doesn't COST her money to come for our benefit! :) So please, if you
can find it in your hearts, come prepared to throw some money in the hat
(actually, to contribute at troll when you check in ... if you want to write a
check, make it out to her directly).

2) Keep in mind that the daytime workshop is garb-optional. Our plan is to
reset the room somewhat after the workshop ends, bring the lights down, change
into garb, and "get into the (Italian dancing) mood" for the evening. You may,
of course, wear garb during the day if you like, but be aware that there will be
lots of folks in civvies, too.

3) We're all going to be tired come the evening, so I don't anticipate we'll be
dancing non-stop. The musicians and the dancemistress will be available for all
requests all evening long. In keeping with the style of the time, dances will
be requested by the attendees or suggested by the dancemistress whenever someone
wants to dance. But in addition to dancing, feel free to bring games, cards,
etc, and amuse yourself in other period ways as well.

If anyone has ANY questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.
I'm hopeful that by Sunday morning Atlantia will have a new crop of folks
excited about and skilled in 16th C. Italian dance. Anything I can do to
further this, you need but ask!
