Victoria, You so rock!
For those of you who didn't come to KASF, you missed an amazing event. (Yep,
even if I say so myself.) Victoria pulled off an amazing session of dancing.
Here's the scoop for those not there.
After Cuan's birthday cake (told ya it was in interesting event) feast slowly
ended. The lights remained at the same level as during feast and no announcement
was made. Slowly, and calmly, as folks filtered out of the room we returned
the tables and chairs to their their appointed places. Dancing started on
time with ZERO complaints from the non-dancing types. Not only that, dancing
started so smoothly that folks who do not usually dance were sucked into the
dancing because it was so smooth. (Told ya Victoria was Awesome!)
There were 47 folks involved with the dancing (5 musicians... live music for the
whole time!) for over half of the time. At the end, it stopped because the
musicians tired themselves out. (Anne of Carthew and her apprentice, whose
name I can never remember but she's a great singer, had driven down the night
before and it was around 11pm or so. The other Musicians were myself, Mistress
Jessamyn (She can play any instrument.. now we know..*grin*), and Pascall
d'Arezzo. A transplant from Meridies with a Masters in Music Composition.
The Musicians may have had a better time than the Dancers!)
At the end, there were still 7-8 couples dancing. Of that, there were only 5
folks on this list. Lots of new folks, lots of fun being had. Victoria got
great local support. (Side note: Sir Richard took the field last weekend.
Only a little year after his surgery. Congratulations!)
In Short,
Victoria, You Rock!
James
*Who hasn't mentioned that Victoria, also, helped with the static displays,
Equestrian display, Newcomers point, Care-and-feeding of Autocrat and KMoAS,
was one of the first three people on site and last three people to leave site,
Vacuumed, I didn't see her during feast, so she was probably busy then as well*
