Allasan,
If you'd like to cover it, I'll be glad to bring music. Do you have a CD player?
I love to see folks teach who have never gotten to teach before! The Pages are an easy group to teach, full of energy. They can be a lot of fun, and are very forgiving. All said, they are a great group for a first time teacher.
So, can we put you down for the class? If so, we need to let the registrar know that you are teaching, particularly if this is your first time teaching anything at a University, so you can get credit for it.
Thanks!
Elize

I've never taught a dance class before, but I could probably teach the kids some of the simple bransles if no one else volunteers. However, I don't have any copies of dance music, so I'd have to borrow a cd from someone.

OK, minor crisis, not the end of the world...
We had several other folks who had offered to teach it, but I hate to just drop it on anyone at the last moment and them feel pressured to accept. Unfortunately, I don't have the note with the names in front of me anymore either.
So, if someone out there wants to volunteer (if you mentioned it to me before, please mention again :~0 ), please let me know. Otherwise, I anticipate being there, and I can cover it if need be. I'll email Ysolt and let her know we're ok.

Just got a quick note from Ysolt, the University Chancellor, letting us know
that Gwen will not be able to attend University and run the 'dancing pages'
class for us the weekend after next. Due to a case of "life" no-doubt. :)
Anyhoo, I've asked Ysolt to *not* cancel the class, and told her that the
Academie would be happy to provide a replacement instructor. The class is
5th hour (3:30 - 4:30), and the description is generic enough to allow us to
teach just about anything... "Bring your dancing shoes and learn some of the
common dances at Atlantian events." We taught Horse's Bransles, Pease
Bransle, and Washerwoman's Bransle last time.
Didn't we have a backup instructor already? If so, is he/she okay with the
notion of running the class? And in either case, is anyone else able to
help out? Oh, and by the way, teaching pages is a hoot... if I knew whether
or not I was going to be there, I'd be happy to volunteer to do it myself.
;)
