Greetings all!
Just a friendly reminder to get you reservations in early for Lezione al
Palazzo, that ever-so-much-fun and educational Caroso workshop being held in
Isenfir on March 15th. The rate of reservation receipt is faster than I had
anticipated, and while I haven't yet actually set a maximum size for the event,
I may be forced to if I get TOO many reservations, so get them to me early and
be sure you've got a spot! Go to http://isenfir.org/lezione for info on where
to send reservations, as well as other information.
On a related note... as you will recall, the evening is to be a by-request
late-period Italian dance party. To that end, send me ASAP any requests you
might have for dances you'd like to do in the evening above and beyond those
you'll learn during the day, so that I can get the word to the musicians so they
can have time to practice them.
On an also-related note, if any of y'all would like to expand your Italian
repertoire prior to this, feel free to attend any of the three remaining Isenfir
dance practices between now and 3/15. Those would be on 2/5, 2/19, and 3/5 (all
Wednesdays). I'm mixing in a heavy dose of Italians into our dance practices,
so you should get well-educated. :) Some dances we do semi-regularly are Gracca
Amorosa (which I'll also be teaching at University on 2/1!), Contentezza
d'Amore, Ballo del Fiori, and Lo Spagnoletto. Practices start at 7pm and are at
the Charlottesville Municipal Arts Center
(http://isenfir.org/directions/cmac.htm). These are decent-size practices
(average 15-20 people ... last one had 26 :), so come enjoy!
To summarize...
- Send in your reservations ASAP!
- Post your suggestions/requests for dances
- Come to a famous Isenfir Dance Evening
