academie: Event info/recommendation

Greetings academiens,

I am preparing to bring my SO to his first SCA event in January, either 
Twelfth Night or Lochmere Dance Revel. Since the Atlantia website is having 
troubles today, I would like to ask you all two quick questions:

1) How much dance *teaching* will occur at Twelfth Night and Lochmere Dance 
Revel?

2) Which event would you generally consider more newcomer-friendly?
