Below is a note forwarded from Lord Talbot, which includes directions to the
practice site. They have been able to get word back from Lord Simon, and he
will be running dancing from Bright Hills' perspective. We are there to
help him and them, this is their demo, and Simon is the Guy In Charge (GIC).
On a distantly-related note, I will not be able to help out with this
Friday's practice. I had business in the Pentagon today, but it was
postponed yesterday because the right people would not be available. I got
lucky. The events in NYC and DC today have reminded me how many miles I
have placed between myself and some of those who care for me, and just how
blasted long it's been since I've taken a vacation. So I'm taking a much
needed break, and I'm going off to Ohio to visit family, friends, and loved
ones. I will return next week. (Feat are in Vegas this weekend. If the
planes are flying, I might go)
In the meantime, I leave it to the Academie to try to figure out who can
help cover this week's practice. I have been contacted by Stefan and
Katherine... I suggest y'all discuss it openly and try to see what we can
come to agreement on. I'll CC Talbot on this, and hopefully he can put us
in contact with Lord Simon so we can coordinate the effort *and* work toward
a list of dances.
Last thing... I have contacted Harp & Drum, and they appear excited about
playing for us during the demo.
See ya!

Greetings to all dancers and teachers for the October
demo from Talbot,
A few new notes. First, Lord Simon has graciously
offered to help teach dances; my thanks to him for his
help. Members of the Atlantian Dance Academie are
also interested in helping us out with teaching and
participation. Lord Edvard has generously provided me
with a set of tapes containing one dance tune on each
side of each tape, which makes finding the music quite
easy. I believe we will have quite a good group
assembled here, and we will be well prepared.
A reminder that we will be starting this Friday at
Glyndon Elementary. The start time will depend on
when everyone gets there. Since we have a lot to do,
the earlier the better; remember that practices start
at 7:30 pm and end at 10:00 pm.
Directions to Glyndon are below for those who do not
know how to get there:
>From the Baltimore Beltway take I-795 (nw corner of
Beltway) past Owings Mills all the way to the end of
the Interstate. DO NOT go to Westminster. Highway
ends in a traffic light. Turn right and proceed to
next light (Rt. 140). Turn right and go through two
more lights, past the fire station and Franklin Middle
School. Turn left at Glyndon Ave., a few blocks past
the Middle School. Follow this past several stop
signs to the end...Glyndon Elementary will be on the
right. Parking is in the back parking lot; go to the
other side of the building, where there will be a door
slightly ajar, where our meeting room is. The gym is
connected to this room.
In service, Talbot
